Keep up without reading release notes
Hear when a tool gains what you asked for, and what to change before you upgrade. Everything here is a link you add to a feed reader, or a command: no account, no email.
1 Watch a question
Ask what you want your system to do. The feed gets an entry when any tool adds, fixes or changes something that answers it, including tools you have never heard of.
2 Your tools
Tick the tools you run. You get one feed for all of them: new things you can do, and what to change before upgrading. "Improved" alone never shows up.
3 Before you upgrade, in your terminal
The canido command reads your pending updates and prints what each one needs from you, before you upgrade. It runs on its own as a pacman hook, and as a Waybar module with the count in your bar.
Arch Linux and Arch-based systems (Omarchy, EndeavourOS, Manjaro, CachyOS) for now: it reads pending updates from pacman. On other Linux systems and macOS it installs, but only looks up one package at a time (canido notes hyprlock 0.9.4 0.9.6). Homebrew, apt, dnf and Flatpak are planned.
$ canido
